How to get there:

We know that Żywiec is not in the communication center of the world, but getting here is not so difficult.

By Train:

To check the current timetable, we suggest to use the search engine on the Polish Railways website. Trains leave frequently from Katowice to Żywiec. Silesian Railwaysoffer us train ride virtually every hour, so you do not have to worry if your bus is late, or that you will spend few boring hours waiting at the station.

By Bus:

You can arrive to Żywiec using mini buses from cities like Bielsko-Biała, Krakow and Zakopane. For example, a ticket from Krakow to Żywiec will cost around 17 PLN, and the travel time fluctuates within two hours. Distribution of buses running from Krakow can be found on the MDA KRAKOW.
If you are inhabitants of the vicinity of Żywiec, local mini bus companies certainly have timetables on their websites.

By Car:

Of course you can drive to Żywiec by your own car. Not so long ago road infrastructure has been expanded with new sections of expressways. The location of the convention allows for very easy entry and departure from the city. Also at the school there will not be a problem with finding a parking space.

In Żywiec:

To convention and some key places you can get by:
A. Bus and Railway Station - around 200m walki from the school, according to Google Maps.
B. Żywiec Amphitheater - which will hold the main attractions of the Beskidian Culture Week.
C. Museum at the Żywiec Castle - along with the adjacent park, a stone's throw to the craft brewery Krajcar and the town's Main Square.

To all points in the city you are able to get on foot. Main city Square can be reached in 20 minutes. In the area there are numerous shops and restaurants.


For people that don't like to walk there is a bus stop at the Railway Station. Every few minutes you can catch a bus going in the direction of the Main Square.
You can get there using bus lines number: 1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13,14,15,16, and 17. Public transport is not free.
